A friend of mine on facebook put this as their status. Can anyone make sense of it??? "If you turn your back on selfeshness, and your thoughts are for someone else, cause they've changed your life... thats how you know."

We are very selfish beings. Relationships are all about being selfless. So in a relationship, when one actually puts the other first and doesn't dwell on his/her selfish desires, that's when they know they love that person. This concludes to a changed life.
Love is easily spotted when we are selfless, instead of loving and then becoming selfless.
So the author of this status confusingly explained something simple... or complex- which then may be very fitting for the status to not be understood.
I would say: love is revealed when our backs are turned from selfishness and our concerning thoughts redirected toward that special someone.
